It has gained wide-spread attention following some recent high-profile cases. It has profound utilities in establishing direct paternal/maternal lineage, ancestral origins, human migration patterns, as well as assisting law enforcement efforts. Unlike standard off-the-shelf kits, our robust DNA extraction chemistry is customized to the unique specimen type and quantity, therefore giving the best chance for trace amounts of valuable DNA to be recovered from often decades-old, degraded, and heavily compromised sources. It is possible that, after further cleanup and repair processes, DNA amounts as low as a few picograms can generate a wealth of genomic information to aid the identification of individuals through extensive database search.
